Electron-wave interactions in vacuum tubes

The activity includes development of nonlinear self-consistent theory of mm and sub-mm wavelength vacuum tubes. Theory of such tubes as the orotron, the generator of diffrection radiation [1], the klystron with distributed interaction [2], the clinotron [3], and the spatial harmonic magnetron [4, 5] have been proposed, and a detailed study of the tubes operation has been performed as well.

The spatial harmonic magnetron and the clinotron are also studied experimentally in order to improve their efficiency and to extent operational frequency range [6, 7].
