3D Pulsed Doppler Surveillance Radar

Overview

The X-band 3D Pulsed Doppler Radar, named 3D-SCAN-30 Radar, is designed for modern surveillance requirements, providing detection and tracking of drones and a wide range of air, ground, and maritime targets. It ensures reliable operation in all weather conditions under both local and remote control.

By combining mechanical and electronic beam steering, the radar delivers rapid scan times. Its compact design, low weight, high reliability, and cost-effectiveness make it ideal for integrated security and sensor networks.

Main radar capabilities

  • Detection aerial, ground, and maritime targets
  • Real time measurement and display of target coordinates, RCS, velocity, trajectories,
  • Automatic tracking of up to 256 targets
  • Display and storage of target trajectories
  • Real-time radar mapping of terrain
  • Target selection and recognition
  • Automatic alarms when intrusions are detected

Advanced Signal Processing

  • Clutter suppression: Doppler signal processing combined with CFAR algorithms ensures reliable detection of moving targets against ground or sea clutter.
  • Track-While-Scan (TWS): Simultaneous multi-target tracking with position prediction and continuous filtering in a multiparameter space (range, azimuth, elevation, velocity, Doppler velocity, and RCS).
  • Trajectory prediction: Forecasts target positions several scans ahead, establishing validation gates for accurate maneuver tracking.

User Interface

The 3D-SCAN-30 Radar is controlled through an intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI), available locally or remotely. Any modern industrial-grade laptop or PC can serve as the terminal.

  • Quick access to preset radar modes via a panel menu.
  • Plan Position Indicator (PPI) with scalable terrain map background.
  • GPS-based WGS-84 geolocation for precise target overlay.
  • Real-time display of target parameters (range, azimuth, elevation, velocity, Doppler velocity, RCS).
  • 3D trajectory projections on the azimuth plane.
  • Automatic data sharing with external systems.
