Experience in the development and application of millimeter-wavelength meteorological radars is summarized. Design approaches and technical solutions to working out efficient Ka- and W-band radars are discussed. Characteristics of such radars are presented. Algorithms for retrieval of characteristics of clouds and precipitation are reviewed as well.
